Certified Financial Planner professional (CFP) Dwayne Rettinger is an experienced wealth management professional who has been active in the financial services industry for over two decades.
Currently serving as an Executive Financial Consultant for Investors Group Financial Services Inc., Dwayne Rettinger and his team help clients make sound financial decisions, while protecting their financial wealth. He and his team advise in financial areas that include investment and retirement planning, group retirement plans, estate planning, cash management and tax planning. Dwayne is a firm believer in creating detailed financial plans that will guide major purchases, retirement accounts and investments.
Dwayne has worked for Investors Group since 2007, serving first as a Senior Financial Consultant, then Division Director, followed by his current position as Executive Financial Consultant. During his more than ten years at the firm, he has guided the financial decisions of individuals and small businesses, as well as hired, trained and managed the talented team that assists him on a daily basis.
Dwayne Rettinger earned his CFP certification through Canada’s Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC). He distinguished himself by becoming a member of the FPSC President’s List after having made the top 1% of exam candidates in Canada in 2009.
Dwayne attended Wilfrid Laurier University where he earned his MBA degree and received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. After his education, he worked at Eli Lilly Canada. He followed this by serving as a senior consultant at Deloitte Canada, then transitioned to KPMG. At KPMG, Dwayne served in roles of increasing responsibility, moving from Senior Manager to Partner to Vice President.
In 2002, Dwayne became a Managing Director at BearingPoint where he led the firm’s Canadian Commercial Services practice for four years until he began his work at Investors Group.
In his free time, Dwayne enjoys coaching hockey and serving in the community. He lives in Oakville, Canada with his wife and three children.
